How To: High-Waisted Denim Shorts

High-waisted denim shorts are in right now & not only are they fabulous, but can be replicated for nearly nothing. After raiding my mum's closet I came out with a nice pair of high-waisted denim pants, which I have turned into a great pair of shorts. Thrifting a pair was my next step if my mum's closet didn't work out....

I started by cutting off the legs. Over cutting them, so they are easier to work with

Next, I took a pair of my own shorts which are a good length & lined them up with the denim

Making sure both seems are lined up

I traced where my shorts ended onto the denim & cut carefully along the lines I drew

All that was left to do was some fraying & distressing

& Voila! A great pair of everyday shorts that turned out to my taste & liking

Hope this helps those of you conquer your search for the perfect pair of high-waisted denim !
